Artist’s Statement
I love telling stories in whatever medium makes the best sense to tell them — especially when it involves the challenge of adapting a classic that has been asking since time memorial “What does it mean to be a human being?”
Even if it isn’t persistently front of mind, this question underpins our daily lives and choices in the 21st Century — especially in the face of technological advances making it difficult to distinguish human from deep fake, pressure to live curated lives for social media, climate change induced existential dread, and alienation and isolation stemming from the pandemic and increasing inequalities.
